I started to make the costumes today! Here are two images of the process.
I bought the robe at Wal-Mart for $10 (each), and bought different hoodies. I removed the hoods from the hoodies (each $20) and attached them via sewing machine on to the robes. The overall effect is really pleasing and I feel that it looks similar to the drawings I made.
There is a zipper, two pockets, and now a hood. I will be adding the symbolic decals over the next few days.
